About the Role

The Team Leader – Depositing is responsible for providing hands-on leadership to the depositing line and oven operators, ensuring consistent product delivery that meets all FGF standards.

Responsibilities

  • Leads by example and fosters an environment of mutual respect and team work.
  • Conducts pre-shift huddles and provides feedback to Team Members.
  • Leads, coaches, mentors, and trains Team Members.
  • Leads production Team Members on the depositing line, including Oven Operators and Mixers.
  • Coordinates with the mixing department to ensure proper batch readiness for depositing.
  • Continuously loads the depositing machine with new batches.
  • Operates the machine that deposits a metered amount of batter into baking trays.
  • Weighs product regularly to ensure correct machine deposition amounts.
  • Provides adjustments to the computerized depositing machine.
  • Uses an industrial-sized spatula to scrape all product batter into the machine.
  • Ensures Operations Management System (OMS) procedures are followed, including inventory entry.
  • Provides orientation and training for an effective and efficient team.
  • Ensures a safe working environment by enforcing FGF standards and following up on inspections.
  • Reports equipment malfunctions and quality issues to appropriate parties.
  • Ensures all Team Members on the depositing line receive breaks and proper coverage.
  • Follows all GMP’s and Safety Procedures as outlined by FGF.
  • May perform General Labour duties or additional assigned duties as requested by a Shift Leader.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to detect quality issues.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physically capable of performing role demands, including frequently moving objects up to 40 kg.
  • Flexible to work days, afternoons, nights, and weekends if needed.
