About the Role

Gain is seeking an individual to expand its Intelligence Origination team into Credit. This role focuses on sourcing proprietary, transaction-level credit intelligence by cultivating a network of off-record sources. The insights gathered will be transformed into structured data to power the Gain platform and support client workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a network of sources, including lenders, investment bankers, sponsors, advisors, and lawyers.
  • Conduct daily off-record, high-trust conversations to surface non-public credit intelligence.
  • Ensure high-quality sourcing of proprietary datapoints that feed directly into the Gain platform.
  • Collaborate with in-house analysts and research teams to ensure data completeness, consistency, and structured format.
  • Support the expansion of the real-time transaction tracker and contribute to internal market intelligence sharing.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in private credit, leveraged finance, restructuring, M&A, private equity, or a related field.
  • Prior people management experience is an advantage.
  • Experience sourcing market intelligence in journalism, research, origination, investor relations, or a related field.
  • Skilled at cultivating senior-level sources and handling off-record, background-only conversations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both in-person and remotely.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Comfortable operating independently as part of a fast-moving, entrepreneurial team.
