About the Role
The Global Demand Planner is responsible for the demand planning portion of Sazerac’s Global S&OP process for markets outside of the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, and Australia. This role creates, maintains, and improves the demand signal for various internal teams and partners. The position requires a high level of ownership and cross-functional influence, partnering with sales, commercial, S&OP, supply planning, logistics, finance, and brand teams to ensure forecasts align with business expectations, market intelligence, customer demand, launch timing, allocation decisions, and supply constraints. The role is based in the UK to enhance support for global markets through closer alignment with regional sales teams, improved time zone coverage, and stronger participation in global S&OP activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead demand planning for assigned markets outside of US, Canada, UK, Ireland, and Australia.
- Utilize demand planning tools and processes established by Sazerac’s Global S&OP team.
- Partner with regional sales teams and global commercial stakeholders to capture market intelligence, customer insights, launch timing, distributor plans, and incremental opportunities.
- Build scalable demand planning processes, reporting, and communication routines that improve global planning maturity.
- Act as a key interface with the Global S&OP team, executing Sazerac’s Global S&OP process and strategy.
- Improve forecast quality through analytics, exception management, statistical forecasting, and structured cross-functional review.
- Maintain a prioritized list of demand-related risks, opportunities, and process improvements.
- Serve as a key owner of the demand portion of Global S&OP, ensuring clear communication and action on forecast changes, risks, opportunities, and decisions.
- Proactively identify demand risks, supply constraints, timing issues, and forecast gaps that may impact service, inventory, allocation, or financial performance.
- Develop and maintain accurate item-level forecasts to support supply planning, production planning, financial planning, and commercial execution.
- Support global new business development, product launches, LTOs, transitions, and market expansions by ensuring accurate, timely, and aligned demand plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong technical capability with planning systems, reporting tools, Excel, and data analysis.
- Relevant experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, S&OP, commercial operations, or related field.
- Strong experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, S&OP, commercial planning, or related field.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including regional leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Ability to translate data, market intelligence, and business context into actionable forecasts and recommendations.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize competing demands, and drive alignment across regions and functions.
- Master’s degree in business, supply chain, analytics, or related field (preferred).
- Experience supporting international or multi-region markets (preferred).
- Experience with S&OP or IBP processes (preferred).
- Experience with statistical forecasting, exception management, and demand planning systems (preferred).
- Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI (preferred).
- APICS certification, Six Sigma certification, or equivalent supply chain certification (preferred).
