About the Role
In our Real Estate Team, you will guide clients through all phases of real estate and infrastructure projects, from initial strategy to transformation and transactions. We advise ministries, housing associations, and international corporations, developing sustainable solutions for industry challenges with innovative approaches and a strong EY network.
Responsibilities
- Advise and manage large real estate and infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
- Apply project management expertise and real estate knowledge in interdisciplinary teams to find client-oriented solutions.
- Maintain oversight and control during challenging project phases.
- Utilize a proactive mindset, innovation, and modern methods to stay ahead of the market.
- Advise public clients, ministries, authorities, and security organizations on strategic issues related to real estate, infrastructure, public construction, and defense/security infrastructure.
- Manage complex real estate and infrastructure projects within a Project Management Office (PMO) or a comprehensive project management function, covering strategy development, planning, and successful implementation.
- Conduct economic feasibility studies and develop reliable decision-making bases for investment and transformation projects.
- Support proposal creation, studies, and client presentations, actively participating in market development for Public Infrastructure and Defense.
- Take on technical project leadership and management responsibilities, develop team members, and drive the expansion of consulting services in Public and Defense Infrastructure.
Requirements
- Hold an above-average university degree with a technical background (e.g., Architect, Civil Engineer, TGA Engineer).
- Possess at least five years of professional experience, including initial project management and leadership experience.
- Demonstrate strong motivation for projects in Public and Defense Infrastructure.
- Have prior experience in challenging real estate and infrastructure projects.
- Ideally, have experience with public sector projects and in security-related environments (e.g., correctional facilities, barracks).
- Critically question facts and possess excellent communication and negotiation skills in German (minimum C1) and English.
- Be willing to undergo a security background check.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) or a project management certification is advantageous.
