About the Role
The Host position at The Smith is crucial for creating a welcoming environment for guests, managing the dining floor, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests attentively upon arrival.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere, using guests' names when appropriate.
- Accommodate guest requests whenever possible.
- Escort guests to their tables with menus.
- Manage the floor plan, prioritizing reservations and timely seating.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stocking of menus at the host area.
- Answer phone calls and provide information about the menu and restaurant.
- Oversee the entire dining experience to ensure expectations are exceeded.
