About the Role
Join Premier Guarantee, part of the Munich Re family, to ensure building regulation compliance and support the delivery of high-quality, safe construction across England and Wales. You will play a key role in maintaining the highest quality standards as a Registered Building Control Approver, contributing to safe, compliant buildings for the future.
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead and first point of contact for Building Control specialists within your regional team.
- Assess complex Building Regulation applications, reviewing detailed plans and ensuring compliance with legislation and performance standards.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, architects, developers, and construction professionals throughout the design and construction process.
- Provide expert technical guidance and support colleagues with complex regulatory queries and escalations.
- Carry out site inspections where required to verify compliance and support project delivery.
- Support workload planning, technical quality assurance, and service delivery across the regional team.
- Assist with house type approvals, technical audits, and commercial activities, including fee quotations.
- Promote Premier Guarantee's Building Control services and identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships.
- Deputize for the Head of Building Control Technical Delivery when required, ensuring continuity of technical leadership.
Requirements
- Significant experience within Building Control and a strong understanding of Building Regulations and associated construction standards.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to a range of stakeholders.
- Experience building collaborative relationships with clients, contractors, and construction professionals.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- A collaborative approach with a passion for supporting colleagues and maintaining high technical standards.
- Commercial awareness and a customer-focused mindset.
- Confidence using Microsoft 365 applications.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Ability to undertake site visits as required.
