About the Role

This role is responsible for ensuring operational data is fit for purpose, defining controls, and monitoring processes to ensure adherence to enterprise data management standards. Key responsibilities include triaging and remediating data incidents, performing data analysis, training new users, and conducting impact analysis for data updates. The role also involves defining data access and ownership, conducting quality control, and overseeing data maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures data accuracy, completeness, and fitness for analysis through testing and controls.
  • Develops and executes Enterprise Data Management policies and standards.
  • Manages data-related incidents, identifying, communicating, and resolving or escalating issues.
  • Develops, manages, and executes controls, monitoring and resolving any control breaches.
  • Partners with Business and Technology functions to develop requirements documents.
  • Provides Subject Matter Expertise for Counterparty data attributes.
  • Interfaces with business partners on data needs and new data requests.
  • Assists team with data analysis and ensures quality of output.
  • Follows risk disciplines and escalates as needed.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in an analytical role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a flexible environment.
  • Ability to think and act independently, with attention to detail and organization.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across a matrixed organization.
  • Bank of America, Regulatory Reporting experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile methodology is a plus.
  • Familiarity with transactional databases is a plus.
  • Exposure to AML/KYC processes is a plus.
  • Data Management experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies (e.g., Alteryx, artificial intelligence for data validation/profiling) is a plus.
