About the Role
The Director, Insights is responsible for leading and delivering multiple research and insights engagements. You will act as a thought partner to clients, crafting insights and developing actionable recommendations while maintaining trusted relationships. This role focuses on unlocking organic growth through ongoing relationships and repeat clients, and liaising with internal Client Partners to support account planning and growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver multiple research and insights engagements.
- Act as a thought partner to junior to senior-level clients.
- Craft insights and develop actionable and provocative recommendations.
- Maintain trusted client relationships.
- Unlock organic growth through ongoing relationships and repeat clients.
- Liaise with internal Client Partners to support account planning and growth.
- Recommend methodologies and design engagements.
- Develop discussion and activity guides.
- Moderate online and face-to-face discussions.
- Mentor and develop junior team members.
- Manage internal project members.
- Perform financial project management.
- Develop client-ready reports and deliverables (slides, video, microsites).
- Manage overall account/project scope.
- Escalate roadblocks and provide guidance for problem-solving.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams (Qual Insight Ops, Insight Design, Behavioral Sciences, Quant practice).
- Translate data into learnings, integrated visual stories, and comprehensive narratives.
- Establish impactful and strategic recommendations.
- Establish, support, and build thriving relationships with client stakeholders.
- Mentor, coach, and delegate work to Associates and Sr. Associates, Associate Directors.
- Share responsibility for the growth, development, and training of junior staff.
- Partner with Senior Leaders within the healthcare and pharma sector to design, scope, and execute qualitative research.
- Positively influence organic client account growth and revenue.

Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in market research within the healthcare and pharma sector.
- Proven track record of managing multiple end-to-end research projects.
- Proven track record of developing client relationships.
- Prior experience managing and leading others as a people manager is a plus.
- Expertise in qualitative methodologies (focus groups, ethnographies, IDIs, online communities).
- Broad experience across different types of research objectives (JTBD/Needs, Segment Illumination, Audience Understanding, Journey Mapping, Product Innovation, Positioning).
- Understanding of quantitative research is a plus.
- Ability to integrate and seamlessly incorporate quantitative methods, research, and insights.
- Proficiency in market research software and tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft/Google Suites.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and lead cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to manage relationships with external vendors.
- Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn.
- Openness to sharing, receiving, asking for, and applying feedback.
