About the Role

As a Production Planner, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by creating production and procurement schedules, identifying and leading cross-functional projects, and utilizing Supply Chain tools for data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Create production and procurement schedules for area of responsibility
• Identify and lead cross functional projects across the business to effectively drive improvements in service, cost, and inventory
• Utilize Supply Chain tools and processes to make data-driven decisions to improve service, inventory turns, and non-working inventory
• Provide a high degree of planning analysis to support decision making
• Publish and present service and inventory metrics and results
• Analyze capacity to determine equipment loading and resources required
• Work closely with the business unit to understand customer requirements and forecasts
• Work closely with manufacturing to ensure alignment to business requirements by setting and maintaining target inventory levels and lead times
• Actively manage working and non-working inventories in assigned businesses to maintain compliance and achieve inventory investment target

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
• One (1) combined year of experience working with Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering and/or SAP in a private, public or government environment
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Operations and/or Business
• Two (2) or more years of experience in Supply Chain within a manufacturing plant
• 3M systems experience (Peoplesoft, ERP / SAP) & BT knowledge
• History of successfully applying business knowledge to support business needs and goals
• Initiates, leads, and implements the process of supply chain problem identification and resolution
• Advanced Microsoft Suite skills
• Excellent written & oral communication skills, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills including the ability to influence others and work effectively in a team environment
• Business Transformation or SAP experience
• Strong desire to advance in the Supply Chain field
