About the Role

You'll join our Engineering team as an individual contributor, working across the full backend surface, including services, APIs, infrastructure, and data collection pipelines. Your focus will adapt weekly based on business needs, whether it's backend feature work, pipeline development, or infrastructure hardening.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services and APIs powering the analytics platform and client-facing products.
• Own and evolve data collection pipelines ingesting millions of data points daily.
• Improve reliability, observability, performance, and cost efficiency across infrastructure.
• Participate in code review, technical discussion, and pair programming.
• Utilize AI-assisted development (Claude Code) fluently as a core part of the workflow.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building and operating production Python services.
• Fluency with Flask (or similar) and RESTful API design.
• Familiarity with tradeoffs in database schema design.
• Experience with modern CI/CD and version control practices.
• Fluent with AI-assisted development tools.
• Commitment to testing and operational rigor.
• Right to work in The Netherlands.
• Ability to work hybrid from the Amsterdam office, 3 days per week.
