About the Role

The Media Finance & Gift Processing Coordinator supports day-to-day financial operations of the Met’s media programs and donor gift processing. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with financial data, ensuring accuracy, and collaborating across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process all Media transactions, including billings and cash receipts, invoices and cash expenditures, and journal entries.
  • Review media contracts and agreements to validate billing and terms.
  • Support ticket sales data collection from international and domestic distribution partners for The Met: Live in HD.
  • Support weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting on media program revenues and expenses.
  • Aid in assembling accurate and timely royalty and publishing statements.
  • Support year-end revenue sharing process, gathering supporting documents and auditing data and calculations for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with other members of Finance on matters including media forecasts, projections, reporting, monthly and year-end closes.
  • Process donor gift transactions in Tessitura, ensuring accurate recording according to restriction and recognition requirements.
  • Partner with Development to ensure accurate and timely reporting on contributions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

  • College degree, major in accounting or finance preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, revenue operations, or gift processing.
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups/formulas).
  • Working knowledge of VBA macros and Access a plus.
  • Experience with CRM software and/or Tessitura a plus.
  • High attention to detail with strong organization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
