About the Role

Gallagher Bassett (GB) is seeking a Technical Training Specialist for a 12-month parental leave cover to support the General Insurance function within the Learning and Capability team. This role focuses on training staff on processes, systems, and platforms to aid their transition into operational roles. You will partner with the business to understand claims management capability needs and develop, facilitate, and evaluate training initiatives to enhance performance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop claims technical training programs and assessments, including new starter programs, aligned to the GB competency framework using various digital delivery methods.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to address training needs and deliver programs.
  • Partner with external stakeholders, managers, and SMEs to ensure training material relevance and accuracy.
  • Facilitate training programs for assigned business units and clients.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching to new starters and others to accelerate competence.
  • Facilitate competency-based assessments to identify knowledge gaps and provide performance feedback.
  • Stay updated on regulatory, legislative, procedural, and technological changes to inform Operations Teams.
  • Maintain product knowledge pertinent to relevant clients.
  • Understand operational systems, processes, and procedures to address staff queries.
  • Identify and address capability gaps in collaboration with Team and Branch Managers.
  • Develop and maintain Skills Matrices to improve competency levels and prepare coaching reports.
  • Maintain records of learning and development activities and report on employee progress using the LMS.
  • Monitor program effectiveness based on feedback and identify continuous improvements.
  • Participate in team meetings and project activities.

  • Experience in a similar role with technical knowledge in general insurance claims management.
