About the Role
As a Host, you are the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. You will work closely with front-of-house and back-of-house teams, learning systems and procedures while bringing a professional, enthusiastic attitude. Your hospitality and attention to detail will help create a rave-worthy guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Exude a warm and welcoming presence, in person and over the phone, even during busy times.
- Communicate confidently and clearly with Servers, Bartenders, and Managers to manage guest flow.
- Escort guests to their tables, engaging them with friendly conversation and a sincere smile.
- Accurately take and manage reservations both in person and by phone.
- Keep the front entrance, host stand, and surrounding areas clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Become familiar with table numbers and floor plans, staying aware of section availability and server rotations.
- Assist with other duties as assigned, supporting the team and the guest experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host or in a guest-facing hospitality role is an asset.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Calm under pressure, with a proactive and team-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable using reservation and table management systems (OpenTable) is preferred.
- A passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.
- Valid Smart Serve Certification Required.
- Available to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- 1 year Opentable experience is preferred but not required.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
