About the Role
Jack Morton is seeking a Creative Director (Art) to lead creative efforts for a major tech client, generating innovative concepts and leading experiential design projects. This role involves developing user journeys, crafting engaging brand experiences, and collaborating with a diverse team to drive client results.
Responsibilities
- Own the brief, ensuring clear objectives and creative scope for project success.
- Lead the team in developing work that is on brief, on brand, and fueled by insights.
- Integrate measurement, data collection, and analysis into creative work and storytelling.
- Develop concepts that meet the brief, consider the audience, leverage brand elements, and push creative boundaries.
- Communicate ideas visually and verbally, collaborating with team members to refine design solutions.
- Inspire and deliver pitches and new ideas with enthusiasm and strategic rationale.
- Expertly present ideas to teams and clients with compelling rationale and client-centric finesse.
- Generate best-in-class design work, owning craft and setting an example for the team.
- Understand project requirements (budget, timeline) and manage deliverables and quality control.
- Collaborate with producers, technical directors, and other experts to ensure high-standard execution.
- Build an understanding of the client ecosystem, brands, and products.
- Foster trust and partnerships with the client's Brand Design team.
- Organize brand assets internally and establish brand excellence and consistency.
- Manage, onboard, and collaborate with creative freelancers.
- Manage creatives at various levels to nurture team growth.
- Provide objective feedback on creative talent to support growth and inform resourcing.
- Lead by example in supporting inclusive narratives within creative work.
- Foster a culture where all voices are heard, respected, and supported.
- Be an active voice for innovative thinking, challenging conventions, and exploring new technologies.
- Collaborate with experts in creative technology and other disciplines to push creative work.
- Express interest and understanding in Artificial Intelligence and AI tools, experimenting and sharing learnings.
Requirements
- Experiential agency experience, including B2B/conference work (tech clients preferred).
- Understanding of what makes a great hero visual and headline, and how these disciplines work in harmony.
- Consistently elevate work with attention to detail and out-of-the-box solutions.
- Consider new materials, substrates, print techniques, textiles, decor, and unconventional objects.
- Share industry and cultural trends with teams for inspiration.
- Stay informed about the experiential industry and adjacent industries.
- Ability to work hybrid in San Francisco or LA highly preferred; remote candidates considered.
- Experiential work / conferences in your portfolio is required.
