About the Role

An 18-year-old student based in London requires a tutor to support him in completing his online remote High School Diploma course. He is intelligent and curious but struggles with severe dyslexia, focus, and motivation. The tutor will provide stability and encouragement, helping him stay on task and motivated towards his academic goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct tuition for Algebra 2, English 12th Grade, Biology, Leadership, and US History.
• Conduct homework/seminar-style sessions.
• Support a student with dyslexia and focus challenges.
• Motivate a reluctant learner.
• Work with students requiring general accommodations.
• Prepare for and deliver lessons based on the US High School Curriculum.

Requirements

• Must have experience working with High School students with Dyslexia.
• Experience working to General Accommodations.
• Experience working with reluctant students or motivating students.
• Must have experience of the US High School Curriculum.
• DBS on update service.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Resume and summary of experience required.
• Ability to discuss and share detailed syllabus with viable applicants.
