About the Role

This role involves managing the day-to-day financial accounting operations, including processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. You will also contribute to process optimization and automation projects within the finance department.

Responsibilities

  • Ongoing accounting: Review, entry, and booking of current business transactions (accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank, credit card statements, cash).
  • Account maintenance & reconciliation: Maintain and reconcile accounts, process open items, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Closings & Taxes: Prepare monthly VAT pre-payments, assist with monthly and annual financial statements, and support the annual audit in close cooperation with tax advisors and auditors.
  • Audits & Reporting: Assist with business audits, perform annual reporting, and prepare relevant business data for management.
  • Payment transactions & Invoicing: Prepare and process payment transactions and support invoice creation for services rendered.
  • Process optimization: Support automation and digitalization projects and actively contribute to optimizing existing processes in financial accounting and controlling.

Requirements

  • Completed commercial apprenticeship.
  • Ideally currently in or recently completed further training as a certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter IHK).
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in a comparable position.
  • Very good Excel skills.
  • Sound experience using DATEV.
  • Negotiation-level German language skills (C1 level).
  • Good English language skills (B2 level).
  • Active communication skills and intercultural competence.
  • Strong team player.
  • Reliability.
  • Independent, responsible, and meticulous work ethic in an international and dynamic environment.
  • Experience in processing monthly payroll and special payments in cooperation with HR is a plus.
