About the Role
We are looking for an Additive Manufacturing Technician to setup, operate, clean, and maintain additive machines to ensure efficient operations, prevent contamination, and achieve high utilization. You'll be part of a skilled and growing team pushing the limits of additive manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Setup, operate, and perform daily and preventative maintenance on additive manufacturing machines.
- Strictly adhere to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Change out equipment for different materials and calibrate equipment.
- Adhere to ISO9001 standards and comply with internal quality standards.
- Properly dispose of hazardous waste.
- Accurately read and record critical production information, such as material manufacture date and serial number.
- Handle inventory and maintain internal MOQs for frequently used materials.
- Perform part breakouts for MJF build units and adhere to tight scheduling.
- Set up and operate vapor smoothing equipment and fixture parts for smoothing.
- Perform housekeeping and cleanup duties upon completion of assigned tasks.
- Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe work area.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen due to ITAR requirements.
- Able to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities to exceed customer expectations.
- Works independently, possesses a strong work ethic, is self-motivated, and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Able to work on cross-functional teams to support the core business, ensuring quality products are delivered on time.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
- Must be a team player and willing to learn new skills and concepts.
- Must be knowledgeable of standard safety policies and procedures and adhere to them.
- Responsible for complying with company hazardous waste disposal procedures.
Skills
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gage pins, height gages, dial indicators, and precision scales.
- Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Computer aptitude (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
- Experience with manufacturing/CNC machining processes.
