About the Role

Golden Artist Colors is seeking a Paintmaker I to join their Operations department. This role involves operating and maintaining various manufacturing equipment, ensuring quality control, and data entry within a creative and mission-based culture.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and be efficient in at least two of the following: large versator, small versator, or all mills.
  • Operate multiple pieces of equipment, including drum dumper, fork truck, manual jack, and power jack.
  • Operate the bulk mixer.
  • Efficiently perform all processes, including mixing, milling, de-aerating, pumping, and quality control of paint and related products.
  • Perform general cleaning of machinery and drums.
  • Enter data into the ERP system.
  • Use a respirator.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus additional computer training.
  • 1-3 years of experience working with equipment requiring safety equipment.
  • Experience in an environment where quality was a focus.
  • Experience in an environment where all employees were expected to be problem solvers.
  • Continuous periods of standing/walking on concrete surface.
  • Occasional climbing on/off a platform.
  • Constant reaching from below the waist to waist and shoulder heights.
  • Occasional overhead reaching.
  • Occasional to frequent bending, potentially sustained.
  • Occasional to frequent squatting.
  • Occasional moderate to heavy pushing/pulling (70 lbs force).
  • Frequent light pushing/pulling (25 lbs force).
  • Occasional twisting.
  • Frequent lifting of up to 60 lbs 5-gallon pails from floor to 14 1/2", 29", and 43" high.
  • Occasional overhead lifting of 20 lbs (empty barrel containers).
  • Frequent carrying of up to 60 lbs 5-gallon pails.
  • Constant grasping/pinching, occasionally combined with torque, including use of hand tools.
  • Constant visual and auditory acuity to monitor running of machinery and quality of product.
  • Occasional to frequent daily use of a respirator and able to pass a respirator medical clearance.
  • Intermittent lifting of 5-gallon pails weighing up to 75 lbs from floor to waist.
