About the Role

This part-time Patron Services Supervisor position at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts is responsible for delivering and overseeing service excellence to patrons and guests during performances and events. The role involves supervising Front of House and Bars/Concessions, and overseeing events in cooperation with facility management and event planning departments.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and exemplify service excellence at all public-facing touch points.
  • Coach, train, and support all Patron Services colleagues throughout their shifts, including staff briefings.
  • Respond to customer service situations as they occur, ensuring timely de-escalations and solutions.
  • Collaborate with operational leadership to ensure and fortify building readiness and event standards.
  • Inspect and oversee spaces from set-up to strike, ensuring all equipment, product, furniture, and smallwares are ready for service.
  • Oversee set-up and strike of bar and concession services, taking a hands-on approach.
  • Ensure that event spaces are clean and closed at the end of the shift.
  • Uphold compliance with house policies, government agencies, guidelines, and best practices for venue health and safety.
  • Manage cash handling and product, including the preparation of the daily sales report.
  • Review and prepare Performance planning documents and supervise FOH and F&B team members (up to 35 people daily).
  • Complete end-of-shift reports.
  • Perform administrative duties including counting inventory, entering timesheets, and ordering products.
  • Perform additional job duties as business needs require.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in front of house, food & beverage service, hospitality, and/or events-related roles.
  • A combination of customer service experience and aptitude as a team lead is preferred.
  • Demonstrate positive and courteous interactions with all guests, clients, and colleagues.
  • Ability to understand and follow house standards and systems.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to provide supportive feedback for entry-level staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to foster/maintain professional, positive and effective interactions with others.
  • Ability to remain calm and make others feel at ease in stressful situations.
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions quickly.
  • Attention to detail, time-management skills, and ability to problem-solve and re-prioritize.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, etcetera) and point of sale software.
  • Required to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
  • Able to lift 20 pounds without difficulty.
  • Comfortable with heights, elevators, and stairs.
  • Comfort using a radio.
  • Current Smart Serve and Safe Food Handler certifications.
