About the Role
Arden University is seeking Associate Lecturers to join their pool of educators, supporting course delivery on a flexible, as-needed basis. This role is crucial for delivering inspirational teaching and learning experiences to students in both blended and distance learning environments.
Responsibilities
- Delivering classroom-based sessions, engaging students via online platforms, providing feedback, and enhancing the student learning experience for blended learning.
- Leading interactive online sessions via Zoom, engaging students through discussion forums, and providing prompt support and feedback for distance learning.
- Participating in standardisation exercises, undertaking formative and summative marking, and adhering to strict deadlines.
- Providing high-quality supervision and guidance for student projects and dissertations.
- Developing or revising engaging lecture and learning content, ensuring copyright compliance.
- Participating in meetings, peer reviews, and staff development activities to maintain teaching quality.
Requirements
- A degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience teaching and assessing students within the UK higher education sector.
- Experience delivering student-centred teaching and, for DL roles, experience of teaching through distance learning.
- Up-to-date industry experience.
- Fellowship of Advance HE (or willingness to work towards it with Arden’s support).
- A teaching qualification (desirable).
- For teaching at postgraduate level, a postgraduate qualification or equivalent (desirable).

Salary/Compensations
- £50.42 per hour for Blended Learning
- £86.44 per hour for Distance Learning
- £65.86 per hour for Dissertation Supervision
- 12.07% holiday pay
