About the Role
The Commercial Manager will lead the commercial team, ensuring positive commercial strategisation and administration for a portfolio of projects. This role is essential for effective delivery, risk management, and proactive contract administration from pre-construction to final account.
Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial team towards effective commercial management of projects and frameworks.
- Ensure effective administration and management of projects in line with the IMS.
- Maintain accurate reports and forecasts.
- Lead the creation and utilization of processes for proactive contract management and administration.
- Manage accurate turnover, cost, and cash forecasting.
- Oversee change and risk management.
- Perform periodic financial reporting.
- Provide line management and training for direct reports.
- Represent the Commercial Team in internal and external capacities.
Requirements
- Proven Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager experience.
- Proven line management and leadership qualities.
- Formal Quantity Surveying qualification, ideally degree level.
- RICS membership.
- Experience in Infrastructure construction.
- Experience managing cost control, subcontractors, and reporting on multiple projects.
- Confident in client and project team engagement.
