About the Role
You will help build and operate the systems that run Beacon, working alongside our Staff Corporate Engineer. This is a hands-on role on a small team where you will own real pieces of the stack, including identity, endpoint, access, and the SaaS layer, while learning from the broader architectural direction set by the staff engineer.
Responsibilities
- Build and operate the core stack: identity, endpoint management, permissioning and access, networking, corporate security, and the SaaS layer.
- Own well-scoped pieces of the IT and Systems function end to end.
- Maintain system health through daily operations: access reviews, lifecycle management, patching, and ensuring stack reliability and security.
- Utilize automation, AI tooling, and modern infrastructure to solve problems efficiently.
- Document built systems through runbooks and architecture decision records.
Requirements
- 5+ years in corporate engineering, IT, systems, or a related hands-on infrastructure role.
- Solid working knowledge of identity, SSO, SCIM, and MFA.
- Demonstrated appetite to deepen knowledge in modern access architecture.
- Hands-on experience with MDM, endpoint security, or device lifecycle (macOS primary, Windows secondary).
- Comfortable working in a terminal and scripting.
- Ability to ask good questions and independently find solutions.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a bias for action.
