As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. Provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, and exterior perimeters to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, building access procedures, and general campus information while maintaining a professional presence.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to campus contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
