About the Role

As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol Officer in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other individuals by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a public healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with directions and reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs related to incidents, patrols, access activity, and other security-related observations.

Requirements

Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
