About the Role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following campus protocols and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and communications with Allied Universal supervisors and site representatives.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
