About the Role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following campus protocols and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and communications with Allied Universal supervisors and site representatives.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
