About the Role

Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Security Officer at a renowned cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for visitors, staff, and guests. You will respond to concerns, communicate professionally, and contribute to a caring, reliable team culture grounded in integrity, teamwork, and exceptional service.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, members, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout museum galleries, public spaces, staff areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter while reporting unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points and support visitor flow, helping maintain a welcoming environment while protecting collections, exhibits, and property.
Complete accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
