About the Role

The Canadian Tire FP&A team is crucial for maintaining strong financial performance in a changing retail landscape. This role involves partnering with the Petroleum team to analyze results, provide insights, and influence business decisions, with a focus on process improvement and automation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and own the end-to-end forecasting and budgeting process through collaboration with the Petroleum business and other functional groups.
  • Translate complex financial information into clear, insightful commentary for financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities and support long-term outlook planning aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Build and enhance financial models for faster, more reliable, and insightful analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline reporting, forecasting, and month-end processes.

Requirements

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Possess critical thinking skills to holistically analyze business problems.
  • Demonstrate strong communication abilities for professional interaction at all organizational levels.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of business experience in an analytical field.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statements).

Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, Power Pivot, complex formulas)
  • Automation experience is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing abilities
  • Familiarity with HFM, financial systems, or ERP environments is an asset.

  • Hiring range: $64,000.00 - $106,000.00 CAD Annual
  • Target salary range: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 CAD Annual
