About the Role
Northern Trust's Front Office Solutions (FOS) platform empowers institutional investors and in-house investment teams with comprehensive, full-service, multi-asset capabilities. This role focuses on developing expertise in private markets analytics and reporting, understanding the convergence of investment, operational, and data processes to deliver portfolio insights. The position involves translating complex portfolio information into clear, insightful investment reporting, supporting clients, and contributing to business development.
Responsibilities
- Support and service existing clients, overseeing the delivery of investment reporting and analytics.
- Partner with clients to develop solutions addressing evolving business and investment requirements.
- Contribute to business development efforts across the EMEA region, supporting opportunities with Asset Owners, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Pension Funds, and Global Family Offices.
- Work closely with Sales, Relationship Management, and Product teams to deliver solutions, system demonstrations, support client presentations, and engage in consultative discussions.
- Ensure service delivery for important IPS clients, maintaining operational excellence and business alignment.
- Act as the primary contact for client engagements, offering expert guidance and resolving complex data queries.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of deliverables in line with SLAs.
- Understand the capabilities of IPS Products and support cross-functional solutioning across different client segments.
- Leverage expertise in private markets analytics concepts (DPI, TVPI) and performance measurement (IRR vs TWR, PME’s, benchmarking, attribution, accounting).
- Understand concepts for private market pacing and liquidity modelling and be able to discuss and demonstrate in system.
- Provide technical insight and analysis for internal and client-facing projects.
- Oversee the development and implementation of new performance analytics products based on changing market or client needs.
- Participate in initial client discovery sessions, assist in project planning, set client expectations, and facilitate continuous client updates.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and collaborate with technology teams for automation.
- Articulate end-to-end capabilities, demonstrating how technology, administration, data, and reporting solutions provide clients with greater transparency and insight into their investment portfolios.
- Mentor team members to expand the support model to the APAC region, driving knowledge share.
- Engage with clients, understand business requirements, and deliver clear, insightful recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Create professional, executive-level presentations and confidently deliver content to clients and senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to articulate end-to-end capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor team members.
- Strong ability to engage with clients, understand business requirements, and deliver clear, insightful recommendations.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, data analysis, modelling, and the effective use of Excel add-ins.
- Experience with Power BI and Alteryx is highly desirable.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills.
