About the Role
Serve as the Technical Product Manager for SCIEX’s future quantitative products, encompassing food, environmental, and biological compound quantitation. You will be a key leader in addressing future system user needs, workflow design, and software feature development. Translate customer requirements to business and product development teams, guiding the product vision from initial concepts through the development process and influencing cross-functional teams. This role requires a strong external knowledge base to understand evolving customer needs and translate those opportunities into innovative future technologies by working with product management and research and development.
Responsibilities
- Design experiments to evaluate and validate system-level performance.
- Collaborate with leading global customer thought leaders to enhance future systems with high scientific capabilities.
- Coordinate between R&D, Business Product Management, and the commercial scientific team.
- Interact with internal and external customers globally to understand valuable problems and unmet needs.
- Plan and execute market research to identify opportunities for current and future products.
- Influence product roadmaps based on customer and market insights.
- Collaborate with internal partners to develop product concepts.
- Provide updates to key stakeholders.
- Monitor product adoption and success through collaboration with Sales Training and Sales and Marketing partners.
- Lead scientific user needs for products.
- Lead the early stages of the product lifecycle from concept through development.
- Participate in business planning by tracking the competitive landscape.
- Translate the changing needs of attractive segments into actionable insights.
Requirements
- Ph.D., Master’s, or BA in Chemistry with 10 years of market experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mass spectrometry for the food and environmental markets.
- Significant plus: biological compound quantitative experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Liquid Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry applications in the Pharmaceutical/Biopharmaceutical industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong scientific sales and training skills.
- Experience in a global environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting.
