About the Role

Shape how Kleinanzeigen understands the needs of millions of private and commercial customers by leading research on strategically important initiatives, setting the direction for user experience measurement, and supporting informed product decisions. Partner with senior stakeholders to translate ambiguous problem spaces into clear research questions and actionable recommendations, and help define how Kleinanzeigen continuously listens to its users.

Responsibilities

  • Lead research across multiple teams and product areas, identifying the questions that matter most for product strategy and business impact.
  • Design, conduct, and analyze qualitative research, including interviews, field observations, diary studies, and usability testing.
  • Design, run, and analyze quantitative research, including surveys and continuously measured metrics such as CES and CSAT, to track experience quality and flag emerging issues early.
  • Use AI tools to collect and organize user data, synthesize findings across studies, and automatically generate summaries and reports for stakeholders.
  • Translate research findings into clear narratives that influence Product, Design, Engineering, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Consolidate existing insights, identify research gaps, and prioritize studies with the greatest roadmap impact.
  • Mentor colleagues on research methods and support non-researchers in running their own studies.
  • Manage Research Ops with partner vendors, e.g. for recruiting or panel management, as needed.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a UX Researcher for digital products in agile environments, ideally at a senior or staff level across multiple teams.
  • Strong in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including analysis, documentation, and communication of findings.
  • Hands-on experience with continuously measured metrics such as CES and CSAT, applying these signals to guide ongoing product decisions.
  • Experience using AI to collect and synthesize user data and to automate research summaries and reports.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders by connecting user insights, product strategy, and business goals into a compelling narrative.
  • Experience mentoring UX Designers and raising research maturity across an organization.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, able to bring the voice of the customer to life for varied audiences.
  • Fluent in German and English.
