About the Role
The Property Claim Adjuster will join a dedicated claims team focusing on Commercial Property claims, interacting extensively with internal staff, policyholders, agents, attorneys, and service providers.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate relationships with claims and other internal staff, policyholders, attorneys, agents, and service providers to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Investigate coverage and liability damages for property claims.
- Provide a high level of customer service.
- Conduct and direct timely and quality claim investigations, evaluations, and equitable settlements.
- Ensure timely and accurate reserves consistent with established reserving philosophy and practices.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years' claims experience handling first party Property claims (Commercial claim handling experience is preferred).
- Skilled negotiator, capable of formulating strategy and action plans for files.
- State adjusters license (or ability to obtain).
- Professional designations or working towards industry specific designations are a plus.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, desk management, communication and negotiation skills are required.
