About the Role

Lead, coach, and shape the future of driver training at NRMA. This role involves leading a team of trainers and instructors delivering Driver Training, Safer Drivers Course, and supporting Corporate Driver Training programs across NSW. It's an opportunity for a hands-on leader focused on developing people, driving operational excellence, and delivering exceptional customer outcomes while maintaining safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of driving instructors, facilitators, and trainers.
Support workforce capability, engagement, and performance through coaching, ride-alongs, and development activities.
Coordinate day-to-day delivery of Driver Training, Safer Drivers Course, and Corporate Driver Training programs.
Ensure high standards of safety, compliance, and service quality across all training activities.
Utilize performance data and operational insights to drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and utilization.
Partner with internal stakeholders to align workforce resources with customer demand and business priorities.
Remain connected to the customer experience through the delivery of training programs when required.

Requirements

Experience leading operational, training, education, logistics, or service delivery teams.
Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport – Car Driving Instruction).
Demonstrated people leadership experience with a strong focus on coaching and capability development.
5+ years of experience managing workforce performance, utilization, scheduling, and operational delivery.
Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and risk management in a regulated environment.
Ability to analyze performance data and translate insights into action.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Current Class C Driver Licence with a satisfactory driving record.
Current NSW Driving Instructor Licence.
Current NSW Working With Children Check.
Weekend work is an essential requirement, with availability for both weekend days either every weekend or every second weekend.
