About the Role

Serve as a frontline leader and culture champion, helping bring Seneca Health Care Center's mission, vision, and values to life through employee engagement, mentorship, recognition, and continuous improvement efforts. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting peers, fostering connection, and creating a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Model and promote the organization's mission, vision, values, and culture in daily interactions.
  • Help team members understand the purpose behind organizational initiatives, decisions, and care practices.
  • Participate in interviewing, teaching, and evaluating preceptors.
  • Partner with Human Resources and Nursing leadership to support onboarding and orientation efforts.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource for new employees during their transition into the organization.
  • Coach preceptors to provide consistent and engaging onboarding experiences.
  • Provide a safe and supportive channel for employee feedback, ideas, concerns, and suggestions.
  • Support employee recognition programs and initiatives that celebrate staff contributions.
  • Lead efforts to promote morale, engagement, belonging, trust, and connection among team members.
  • Participate as a member of the Sunshine Committee.
  • Share best practices and encourage staff involvement in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI), Kaizen, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Utilize coaching skills to support peer development, resilience, and professional growth.
  • Mentor team members in living the mission and values through their daily work.
  • Assist in achieving organizational goals related to employee engagement, retention, leadership alignment, and workplace culture.

Requirements

  • Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant certification recommended but not required; must be in good standing if certified.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the organization's mission, vision, and values.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Passion for mentoring, employee recognition, and building a positive workplace culture.
  • Ability to work independently, remain self-directed, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated empathy and compassionate approach toward residents, families, and coworkers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain professional and respectful working relationships with team members at all levels.
