About the Role

The Berlin Biennale is seeking a Marketing Manager to plan, implement, and coordinate marketing activities for the 14th Berlin Biennale, supporting the Head of Communications in developing and executing the marketing strategy across various channels.

Responsibilities

  • Creative development of the marketing strategy and planning/management of marketing campaigns for the 14th Berlin Biennale.
  • Planning and management of target-group-specific analog and digital marketing measures (advertising materials, print products, merchandise, outdoor advertising, ads, etc.).
  • Development of measures for audience acquisition and reach expansion.
  • Coordination of visitor communication and branding at exhibition venues in collaboration with external graphic designers, exhibition designers, and production management.
  • Editorial creation and coordination of marketing materials.
  • Management of the production and timely implementation of marketing materials.
  • Establishment and support of marketing and media cooperations.
  • Conception and production of project merchandise.
  • Distribution planning of print products and merchandise.
  • Ensuring consistent application of corporate design across all marketing measures.
  • Monitoring, analysis, and evaluation of marketing measures.
  • Creation and control of detailed budgets, responsibility for adherence to approved cost frameworks.
  • General and administrative support for daily office organization and international office communication and correspondence.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed (technical) university degree or equivalent relevant qualification (Communication Studies, Cultural Management, Marketing, Cultural Studies, or similar).
  • Relevant professional experience in the specified areas of responsibility.
  • Experience in project management and in managing external service providers and project partners.
  • Very good computer skills and confident use of digital applications.
  • Sensitivity to artistic, curatorial, and socio-political content.
  • Good knowledge of the cultural and media landscape.
  • Interest in the contemporary art and culture scene.
  • Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Careful, independent, and reliable way of working.
