About the Role

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Assistants for Before and After School Programs at William H. Barkley School. This role is ideal for individuals who love working with children, possess energy, kindness, and patience, and enjoy fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence. The position offers a schedule that aligns with the school day, making it suitable for parents, education majors, and retirees.

Responsibilities

Facilitate hands-on activities including fitness, STEAM, academic, and art, as well as homework completion, following the Healthy Kids Curriculum.
Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment, acting as a positive role model for children.
Adhere to state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
Support program operations, including attendance records, registration, and staffing.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
1 year of experience working with children under 13 is preferred.
Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children.

Salary/Compensations

$16.00 per hour
