About the Role

As a Process and Systems Engineer (m/w/d), you will play a key role in process and system engineering, contributing to the advancement of our technology. This position is crucial for the efficient implementation of projects and supports our mission in the green hydrogen industry.

Responsibilities

  • Create process models, calculate heat and mass balances, energy demand analyses, and process flow diagrams (PFDs) for entire plants using software like Hysys/Unisim.
  • Develop and review P&IDs and technical specifications for plant components.
  • Perform process design, hydraulic calculations, heat exchanger designs, and pressure relief analyses.
  • Optimize process designs to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other technical disciplines to integrate process designs with mechanical, electrical, and control components.
  • Support project and proposal teams with process engineering expertise during tender, development, and construction phases.
  • Create and review safety reports concerning pressure and explosion protection.
  • Participate in safety assessments and risk analyses such as HAZOP and LOPA studies.
  • Contribute to the creation of operating and maintenance manuals and FAT procedures.
  • Analyze customer inquiries and provide technical process design information.
  • Participate in project meetings, technical reviews, and coordination with customers and other stakeholders.
  • Support plant commissioning and conduct performance tests, including reporting.

Requirements

  • Degree in Process Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
  • Several years of experience in the oil, gas, or chemical industry (EPC environment preferred).
  • Proficient knowledge in process simulation and optimization (UNISIM, HYSYS, Aspen Plus and PipeSim).
  • Experience with safety standards and pressure systems (ATEX, SIL, P&IDs).
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Interdisciplinary teamwork skills.
  • Fluent German and English language skills.
