About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Support the Chef in preparing and cooking age-appropriate food for children with minimum wastage.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Take responsibility for running the kitchen in the Chef's absence.
  • Ensure all dietary requirements are catered for and communicated to teams.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a cooking role (domestic or commercial).
  • Passion for nutrition and inspiring healthy eating.
  • Sound knowledge of managing different dietary requirements, especially food allergies.
  • Food Safety CIEH L2 or above (or equivalent) - must be passed on day 1.
  • Sound knowledge of COSHH.
  • Great communication skills with colleagues, children, and parents.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Must pass an enhanced DBS check.
