About the Role
As the super-platform for non-professional soccer in Europe, we bring pro-level experiences to a community of over 190 million footballers and fans. We are a startup founded in 2021 in Cologne, Germany, with a team of 35+ members working across our offices and remotely.
Responsibilities
- Takes ownership of our mobile platform.
- Builds high-quality features for our Flutter app and entire stack.
- Continuously improves performance, architecture, and code quality.
- Develops with a clear product focus, considering user experience, business value, and long-term scalability.
- Builds new features using a modern, AI-driven development approach.
- Works independently within a product team, taking ownership and contributing to technical development.
- Helps raise code quality within the team and sets high standards for maintainability, structure, and technical excellence.
- Ensures mobile codebase consistency, robustness, and high quality through thorough code reviews.
- Collaborates closely with Product and Design, constructively challenging requirements and translating them into robust technical solutions.
- Continuously improves the performance, stability, and reliability of the mobile application.
- Actively shapes architectural decisions in the mobile domain and contributes to a scalable technical vision.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining mobile apps (iOS, Android, or cross-platform).
- Understanding of specific challenges in mobile development.
- Desire to build full-stack using agentic engineering.
- Enjoys working in a growing team and dynamic environment.
- Experience in a startup or similarly fast-paced setting is ideal.
- Uses AI as an integral part of a modern development workflow.
- Strong knowledge of Dart and Flutter.
- Understands SOLID principles, clean structures, and sustainable code quality.
- Understands how good mobile products work, from UI/UX principles to proven design patterns.
- Works in a test-driven and quality-oriented manner.
- Familiar with common testing methods in software development.
- Positive, proactive approach and actively contributes to strong team dynamics.
- Ideally has knowledge of back-end and DevOps.
- Practical experience with Firebase is a plus.
- Uses tools such as Amplitude and Braze to understand user behaviour and increase engagement.
