About the Role

Legartis is seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial People Manager to support its expansion in the DACH region. This role is responsible for the entire People function, from recruitment to administration and cultural development, with a focus on efficiency, automation, and candidate/employee experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage personnel administration for entities in Germany (Leipzig, Berlin), including contract management, onboarding, and official correspondence.
• Independently manage recruiting processes across all departments, from job postings and active sourcing to contract finalization.
• Maintain and develop the HRIS (Personio), ensuring data and processes are accurate and up-to-date.
• Design and automate People processes using tools like Slack Workflow Builder, Personio automations, and Claude Cowork to reduce manual effort.
• Act as a point of contact for the team, fostering a positive company culture and addressing HR-related questions.
• Organize team events, workshops, and internal activities at company locations.
• Keep People documentation current (policies, handbooks, job descriptions) and ensure compliance with German and Swiss labor laws.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional experience in People Operations or as an HR Generalist, preferably in a tech start-up or scale-up.
• Solid knowledge of German labor law; basic knowledge of Swiss labor and social security law is a plus.
• Proven experience in independently conducting full-cycle recruiting processes.
• Very good knowledge of Personio or a comparable HRIS and modern tool stacks.
• Very good written and spoken German and English (min. C1).
