About the Role
We are seeking a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney to join our Brands, Trade Marks & Designs team. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse UK, EU, and international trade mark matters for high-profile clients, advising on brand clearance, protection strategies, prosecution, portfolio management, and contentious issues. The position provides significant client exposure and development opportunities within a collaborative international team.
Responsibilities
- Advising on brand clearance and protection strategies
- Trade mark prosecution and portfolio management
- Handling contentious matters including opposition, invalidity, and revocation proceedings
- Managing enforcement actions and online brand protection programmes
- Supporting clients across a diverse range of industries
- Delivering commercially focused, pragmatic advice
- Contributing to the continued growth of a leading international brands practice
Requirements
- Chartered Trade Mark Attorney with 1–6 years' PQE
- Proven experience advising on UK and EU trade mark matters
- Experience gained within private practice (law firm or trade mark attorney firm)
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters and client portfolios effectively
- Strong client focus and a commercial, pragmatic approach to delivering advice
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse and inclusive team
- Capability of building strong professional relationships and developing networks both internally and externally
- Interest in business development
