About the Role

We are seeking a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney to join our Brands, Trade Marks & Designs team. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse UK, EU, and international trade mark matters for high-profile clients, advising on brand clearance, protection strategies, prosecution, portfolio management, and contentious issues. The position provides significant client exposure and development opportunities within a collaborative international team.

Responsibilities

  • Advising on brand clearance and protection strategies
  • Trade mark prosecution and portfolio management
  • Handling contentious matters including opposition, invalidity, and revocation proceedings
  • Managing enforcement actions and online brand protection programmes
  • Supporting clients across a diverse range of industries
  • Delivering commercially focused, pragmatic advice
  • Contributing to the continued growth of a leading international brands practice

Requirements

  • Chartered Trade Mark Attorney with 1–6 years' PQE
  • Proven experience advising on UK and EU trade mark matters
  • Experience gained within private practice (law firm or trade mark attorney firm)
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters and client portfolios effectively
  • Strong client focus and a commercial, pragmatic approach to delivering advice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse and inclusive team
  • Capability of building strong professional relationships and developing networks both internally and externally
  • Interest in business development
