About the Role

We are seeking a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney to join our Brands, Trade Marks & Designs team. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse UK, EU, and international trade mark matters for high-profile clients, advising on brand clearance, protection strategies, prosecution, portfolio management, and contentious issues. The position provides significant client exposure and development opportunities within a collaborative international team.

Responsibilities

Advising on brand clearance and protection strategies
Trade mark prosecution and portfolio management
Handling contentious matters including opposition, invalidity, and revocation proceedings
Managing enforcement actions and online brand protection programmes
Supporting clients across a diverse range of industries
Delivering commercially focused, pragmatic advice
Contributing to the continued growth of a leading international brands practice

Requirements

Chartered Trade Mark Attorney with 1–6 years' PQE
Proven experience advising on UK and EU trade mark matters
Experience gained within private practice (law firm or trade mark attorney firm)
Strong academic credentials
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters and client portfolios effectively
Strong client focus and a commercial, pragmatic approach to delivering advice
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse and inclusive team
Capability of building strong professional relationships and developing networks both internally and externally
Interest in business development
