About the Role
As the Software Development Manager, you will lead the EDO Content Delivery team in a "Player / Coach" capacity, contributing hands-on to the team's success. You will collaborate with peers to optimize software applications and data solutions, including product reference data management and client-facing data applications. Your role involves leading a global team, resource planning, talent development, and vendor management to build innovative, scalable, and resilient solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage partnerships with business leaders, stakeholders, and IT to develop and promote content delivery data solutions.
- Translate stakeholder needs into technical solutions.
- Impact product, architecture, software design, and engineering with a focus on intuitive front-end creation, robust backend frameworks, and strong data design.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the team using industry best practices in engineering, data, and AI.
- Set engineering standards, contribute directly to complex code, and problem-solving.
- Guide the team of individual contributors by setting expectations and monitoring their progress.
- Manage a globally dispersed team and contribute input to scale a global organization through resourcing/location strategy.
Requirements
- Proven track record delivering solutions in complex organizations.
- Experience with AWS, Databricks, DBT, PySpark, React, JavaScript Terraform.
- Fast learner, thrives in ambiguity, translates vision into product scope.
- Passion for automation and user experience innovation.
- Builds high-performing teams, leverages staff for efficiency.
- Experience developing and coaching associates to meet business goals.
- Experience with AI/ML/Gen AI/LLM is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
