About the Role

As the Executive Product Manager for AI Powered Engineering, you will execute on the vision and strategy for the AI developer experience at CBA. You will define how AI engineering tools are adopted, scaled, and embedded across the developer lifecycle to enhance productivity, quality, and experience for the global engineering community. In partnership with an Engineering Lead, you will lead multiple cross-functional squads and own the product portfolio, roadmap, and outcomes. You will collaborate with senior leadership to understand engineer needs, develop strategies for platforms and tools, and represent AI Powered Engineering in senior forums.

Responsibilities

Support the General Manager, AI Powered Engineering in leadership forums, executive reporting, and decision-making, stepping in to lead the function when required.
Set and own the product strategy and roadmap for the AI developer experience, defining AI engineering tool usage across the entire developer lifecycle.
Co-lead and coordinate multiple cross-functional squads, aligning roadmaps, priorities, and delivery to a single portfolio vision.
Coach, develop, and grow Product Owners and their squads, building a high-performing product-driven leadership team.
Partner with senior leadership to identify opportunities for embedding AI-assisted engineering tools and drive their adoption and scale.
Prioritize the portfolio backlog, balancing business demand, engineering value, and long-term sustainability.
Collaborate with AI researchers, engineers, and product managers to apply AI advancements to engineering challenges.
Partner with HR and the Engineering Practice to embed learning pathways for engineering capability and AI tool adoption.
Contribute to executive-level reporting and presentation materials, communicating program outcomes to diverse audiences.
Act as an ambassador for the AI transformation, sharing knowledge and fostering an open learning culture.

Requirements

Experienced senior product and technology leaders with a proven track record of owning and scaling technology products, platforms, or developer tools.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, capable of presenting technical updates to senior tech and non-tech audiences.
Experience in leading and developing other leaders, including Product Owners, and managing complex, multi-stakeholder, cross-functional programs.
Deep knowledge of the software development lifecycle and passion for developer experience, emerging AI technologies, and their application in banking and fintech.
Customer-obsessed mindset, able to identify unmet needs of engineers and the business.
Adept at leading engineering and product teams that build and scale distributed systems, tools, and frameworks in cloud environments.
Self-motivated, continuously learning, and focused on delivering concrete outcomes.
