About the Role

Doctolib is seeking a Head of Design Systems to lead the Oxygen design system, ensuring a consistent and high-quality design foundation across all product surfaces. This role is crucial for maintaining brand identity and design quality at scale within an AI-first development environment, impacting millions of patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Set the multi-year vision and roadmap for Oxygen, aligning engineering, design, and brand teams.
  • Translate system health into business impact and manage investment strategy for supporting teams, tools, and governance.
  • Establish cross-functional governance across Design, Product, Engineering, and Brand teams, defining contribution models and standards.
  • Own design output quality across the product, ensuring coherence and consistency in AI-generated interfaces.
  • Define and drive cross-organizational adoption, measuring key metrics and their impact on product team speed and quality.
  • Manage and grow a team of design system designers and engineers, including career development and hiring.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in product design or design systems, with a proven track record of scaling mature systems.
  • Engineering fluency, including understanding of technical architecture, platform team operations, and AI-first software engineering best practices.
  • Demonstrated senior stakeholder management skills, with the ability to negotiate priorities and drive change management at scale.
  • Data-informed and outcome-oriented approach, measuring system health with real metrics and connecting them to business outcomes.
  • Experience in a regulated, enterprise, or healthcare-adjacent context with considerations for accessibility (WCAG), localization (i18n, RTL), and multi-market constraints.
  • Fluent in English.
