About the Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Resource & Features Editor to join our Gambling News Content team. In this role, you will deploy and maintain important content resources such as trackers, rankings, directories, and indexes across various sites, contributing unique and high-effort content to ongoing industry conversations.
Responsibilities
- Commission, brief, write, and edit high-quality esports and gaming-focused features, explainers, data-pieces and informational content
- Manage a network of freelancers and subject matter experts to address content gaps
- Conduct thorough research on esports and gaming topics to ensure accuracy, relevance, and authority
- Update and refresh existing content to improve SEO performance and maintain relevance
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure content aligns with business and marketing goals
- Undertake additional tasks as needed to meet evolving business and departmental requirements
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience writing and editing high-quality content covering gambling, igaming, or related industries
- Excellent research, fact-checking, and source evaluation skills with a strong understanding of editorial standards
- Strong working knowledge of SEO principles, including search intent, keyword research, content optimization, and content refreshes
- Ability to research and transform complex topics, data, and industry developments into clear, engaging, and unique content
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with flexibility for deadlines and shifting priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Genuine interest in esports and gaming, with a strong understanding of the audience and industry trends
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound editorial judgment, and manage projects from brief to publication
