About the Role
As a working student in AI Security, you will support the team in analyzing and evaluating modern AI models for use in cybersecurity. You will participate in the development and implementation of automated evaluation methods for the security assessment of AI systems and applications. You will also support the analysis of source code and the identification and evaluation of security vulnerabilities in AI-based applications. You will analyze current AI technologies for offensive and defensive cybersecurity applications and evaluate their potential, use cases, and limitations. You will develop technical demonstrators, proof-of-concepts, and documentation to clearly present research results and new AI security approaches. Furthermore, you will work on innovative research projects and support the further development of modern AI solutions for responsible use in cybersecurity.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Excellent German and English language skills.
- Complete application documents (cover letter, resume, grade overview, enrollment certificate, and if applicable, residence permit/work permit).
- Studying Computer Science, IT Security, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, Business Informatics, or a comparable degree program.
- Good programming skills.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, and modern software development workflows.
- Familiarity with current development and deployment processes.
- Analytical, structured, and independent work style.
- Enjoy developing technical solutions.
- Interest in current developments in AI and cybersecurity.
- Teamwork, initiative, and strong communication skills.
- Willingness to support the team with at least 15 hours per week.
- Temporary reduction of working hours possible during exam periods after consultation.
