About the Role
The Pricing Department comprehensively drives pricing strategy realization, from data analysis to FSA approval. This position connects actuarial insights with business perspectives, directly influencing strategic decision-making and enhancing our competitiveness. Actuarial experience is not required; we welcome individuals with strategic thinking and a desire to learn.
Responsibilities
- Handle FSA approval
- Create foundational documents (calculation basis, calculation method statement)
- Respond to FSA negotiations
- Develop rate change proposals
- Create and implement rate revision proposals aligned with company strategy
- Coordinate with other departments for rate revisions (internal approval procedures, explanations to operations, IT development, etc.)
- Modeling
- Create and monitor risk/demand models using GLM and data science methods
- Propose new pricing segmentation and UW rules
- Portfolio analysis
- Analyze the (causes of) portfolio changes by appropriately understanding external and internal factors
- Investigate the impact of rate revisions and formulate action plans based on them
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience in data analysis (SQL, Python, etc.)
- Knowledge of non-life insurance actuarial science, statistical analysis, and insurance business regulations, or willingness to learn
- Strategic thinking and applicability to business
- Ability to clearly explain analysis results quantitatively and qualitatively
- Leadership, cooperation, and innovation mindset
- Insurance company work experience (preferred)
- Actuarial qualification or willingness to learn (preferred)
- English proficiency is a plus
