About the Role

This role serves as the commercial link between the brand, creative team, and partners, aiming to forge financially solid partnerships that reflect company values and vision. The position will lead a network of agents in Europe, the Middle East, and Australia/New Zealand, managing all aspects of licensing from deal generation to product launches and go-to-market strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate added-value deals and support licensing strategy for markets without agents.
  • Manage agent network for other territories, focusing on growing existing deals and closing new strategic ones.
  • Implement sales strategy for brands and territories in collaboration with the Kids & Family sales department.
  • Participate in licensing trade shows.
  • Supervise retail operations to optimize licensee revenues.
  • Manage a network of licensees and secure strategic partnerships.
  • Work with management to set and monitor financial targets.
  • Monitor the market, analyze performance, and contribute to defining licensing strategy.
  • Establish working relationships with other VP Licensing to create value and foster collaboration.
  • Collaborate with creative/marketing teams on product development, providing market insights.
  • Monitor business plans, contracts, financial flows, and analyze licensee results.
  • Coordinate with financial, legal, and operational departments across territories.
  • Coordinate agents' activities with all internal commercial, creative, legal, and financial departments.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of the French & European licensing environment, main partners and distribution networks (minimum two years).
  • Multicultural interpersonal skills, curiosity and team spirit.
  • Agility in creating smooth information flows.
  • Ability to see the big picture and link product categories, retailers, and consumers.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Persuasive entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Financial (P&L management) and legal awareness.
  • Global understanding of contracts and financial issues.
  • Regular travels and availability to attend European, French and international trade fairs.
