About the Role

As a Universal Banker, you will provide outstanding service, educate customers on digital platforms, and raise fraud awareness. You will identify and support vulnerable customers and those with complex needs, ensuring financial inclusion. We are looking for individuals passionate about customer experience, with ambition and a helpful personality. Previous customer service experience is helpful but not essential; strong conversational skills and a passion for exceeding customer expectations are key.

Responsibilities

  • Play a pivotal role within the Branch Customer Service Team as the first point of contact for customers.
  • Take ownership of individual customer needs and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Play an integral part in customer education around HSBC digital services and fraud awareness.
  • Identify customers in vulnerable situations and determine the best way to support them.
  • Help customers with more complex banking needs to ensure they feel supported in their choices.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills enabling effective conversations, strong connections, and empathy with customers.
  • Ability to take ownership of customer inquiries through to resolution.
  • Pride in delivering a customer experience that exceeds expectations.
  • Deliver a personalized, friendly, and efficient service.
  • Resilience to a continuously changing environment.
  • Must be able to attend the full 9-day training course over 3 weeks.
  • Students on visas that do not allow 35 hours of work per week cannot be progressed.
