About the Role
Be a part of a special care team delivering care to a delightful child and support him to reach his full potential. Carers will work alongside nurses supporting the child with a variety of clinical interventions, including TPN feeding, monitoring nebulisers and ventilation equipment, supporting respiration and oxygen saturation, suctioning, medication administration via JEJ, and providing personal care.
Responsibilities
- Support a child with TPN feeding.
- Monitor nebulisers and ventilation equipment.
- Support with respiration and oxygen saturation.
- Perform suctioning.
- Administer medication via JEJ.
- Provide personal care.
Requirements
- Experience in a complex care setting is advantageous.
- Experience with PEJ is advantageous.
- Experience with Ventilation Support (Stellar 150 Knowledge In Particular) is advantageous.
- Experience administering medication is advantageous.
- Experience using suction machines (Cough assist & nebulisers) is advantageous.
- Experience with specialist moving and handling (Hoist & wheelchair) is advantageous.
- Experience with Colostomy care is advantageous.
