About the Role
The Applications Support Officer is responsible for providing user and technical support for Council's Corporate Applications, ensuring applications are maintained in accordance with Council standards and delivering responsive, high-quality customer service to internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Provide first and second level application support.
- Manage incidents and service requests.
- Maintain user access and security profiles.
- Contribute to application changes and projects.
- Develop user documentation and training materials.
- Assist with software licensing, procurement, IT contracts, and audits.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance with Council's policies, procedures and IT Service Management practices.
Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years' experience supporting enterprise corporate applications, preferably within a local government or similar environment.
- Demonstrated experience providing first and second level application support, resolving technical issues and managing incidents and service requests.
- Ability to understand business requirements and deliver practical, customer-focused solutions.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and strong technical aptitude.
- Experience developing and maintaining user documentation, training materials and knowledge resources.
- Experience supporting application changes, upgrades and project delivery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with business stakeholders, vendors and colleagues.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and working collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Must obtain a National Police Check.
- May be required to undergo a pre-employment medical check.
